FUTURELAB IN NUMBERS
Who is our work for?
We passionately create exceptional engineering projects to meet the needs of the socio-economic environment. Interdisciplinary student teams, guided by a researcher from Cracow University of Technology and an industry mentor, work on solving the challenges of modern cities and businesses. By developing innovative solutions, students learn through hands-on experience how to manage a project efficiently — from the initial idea, through research, to promoting their achievement and collaborating with industry. As the first unit of its kind in a Polish higher education institution, FutureLab is pioneering a model of education worthy of the 21st century.
STUDENTS
We support Cracow University of Technology students working in project teams. We assist at every stage of turning their ideas into reality. We fund materials, training, trips, and the promotion of their achievements.
MENTOR / SUPERVISOR
The academic supervisor and mentor are the inspirers who support student project teams in implementing innovative ideas. They oversee the quality of student research and assist the students.
BUSINESS
Our student project teams collaborate with entrepreneurs to develop modern technologies or inventions. The best projects receive patents and are brought to market.
INSTITUTIONS
Solutions developed by students in FutureLab teams are used by municipalities and offices to modernize spaces for residents, with a focus on energy efficiency and environmental sustainability.
